Wemanage Journal: Introducing dataFORMAT

Wemanage is proud to announce dataFORMAT, a collaborative research project with Fashion in Process Research Lab — Politecnico di Milano and a selected roster of contemporary artists about data and its visual representation.

The project will be spread across the social media channels of Wemanage in the form of a total takeover: each month a different artist will interpret a set of data provided by Fashion in Process Research Lab — Politecnico di Milano visualising the most contingent information about our times. The topics will vary from economics to social and cultural shifts, market data and the impact of the fashion, design and luxury industries on the planet. Italian and international artists will be asked to take a radical and unexpected approach to the representation of these themes, therefore establishing a digital gallery that will become a yearly printed almanack collecting the texts and artworks developed by the project.

dataFORMAT is hosted and curated by Wemanage: the two entities shall remain separate identities that coexist in the same place, with different graphic and typographic languages. It’s an experimental and oblique strategy, with the aim of providing a more interesting and thoughtful approach to the way we interpret the business we’re living: we hope you’ll find it a stimulating update on our communication strategy.

The project will kick off on the first week of May 2022, exploring the topic of Sustainability in the Fashion World.
